Many see the competition as a chance to win a crown, & to make a name for yourself.
However, it is most important to look at a competition as a way to win against yourself, how to be the best you can be, and how to be a better dancer than the one you used to be yesterday, through training and preparation.
Queen competitors must be dancers aged 15 years or older with more than 5 years of experience in Oriental Dance.
Recorded music: A song of your choice. The song must follow the Competition guidelines regarding timing and style.
Time limit: 4 minutes maximum
Date: You might compete either on June 29th, June 30th or July 1st
To qualify to enter any of the competition categories, you must have signed up for one of Cleopatra workshop packages.
In these competitions, you are allowed to dance to only one of these three styles; Oriental (Modern or Classic), Shaabi or Baladi, these three styles are not separate categories. Our judges will judge you based on your own interpretation of the style you picked against the other dancers with the style they picked.
The finalists dancers will be performing a Classic Song with our Cleopatra Live orchestra. On July 1st They will pick their songs by a lottery from the listed below.
Cleopatra Live Orchestra: Our esteemed Cleopatra Live Orchestra will play for you one of the following 10 songs.
